Vaibhav Suryavanshi (born 27 March 2011) is an Indian cricketer who plays for the Bihar cricket team. Known for his exceptional talent at a young age, he made his first-class debut in the Ranji Trophy in 2024 at just 12 years old. In 2025, he became the youngest player ever to sign a contract in the Indian Premier League (IPL) when the Rajasthan Royals acquired him for ₹1.10 crore.

Early life and education

Vaibhav Suryavanshi was born in the small village of Tajpur, near Samastipur in Bihar, India. He grew up in a humble household where his passion for cricket was nurtured by his father, who was also his first coach. Vaibhav began playing cricket at the age of nine, practicing in the fields near his home. Domestic Career
Vaibhav’s cricket journey took a major turn when he was selected for Bihar’s Under-19 team in the 2023 Vinoo Mankad Trophy. At just 12 years old, he impressed with his batting skills and earned a spot in Bihar’s senior squad.
In January 2024, Vaibhav made his first-class debut in the Ranji Trophy against Mumbai. He was 12 years and 284 days old, making him the second-youngest player to represent Bihar and the fourth-youngest in Ranji Trophy history. Though still early in his career, he has shown glimpses of his potential as a reliable top-order batter.
Vaibhav also made his T20 debut for Bihar in November 2024, playing against Rajasthan. His performances in domestic cricket have already drawn attention from fans and experts alike.
