Early life and education
Gaurav was born into a middle-class family in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He did his schooling at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Ghazipur. After finishing school, he went on to study civil engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, one of India’s top engineering colleges, graduating in 2008. During his college years, Gaurav developed a passion for fitness and bodybuilding. This passion eventually grew into a major part of his life, and he began sharing his knowledge with others.
Career
After completing his education, Gaurav decided to pursue an aviation career. In 2011, he trained as a pilot at CAE Madrid in Spain, specializing in flying the Airbus A320. He started working as a first officer with IndiGo Airlines and became a captain in 2014. In 2019, he joined AirAsia as a pilot. However, his journey with AirAsia came to an end in 2020 when he raised concerns about the airline’s safety practices, leading to his suspension.
At the same time, Gaurav was building his presence on YouTube. His first channel, FitMuscle TV, launched in 2016, focuses on fitness, bodybuilding, and nutrition.
