Early life and education
Ruchika was born in the enchanting city of lakes, Udaipur, Rajasthan. She grew up inspired by her mother, a resilient woman who single-handedly managed her handmade jewelry business while nurturing her family. From a young age, Ruchika balanced her studies with helping her mother in the business, learning the value of hard work and determination.
She graduated in 2014 with an engineering degree from CTAE Udaipur and began her professional career as a professor at Pacific Engineering College. While at university, Ruchika demonstrated her leadership abilities and was elected as the University General Secretary of Maharana Pratap Agricultural & Technical University, Udaipur, for the term 2013–14.
Driven by her adventurous spirit, she defied societal norms by embarking on solo travels in 2017, paving the way for her future as a storyteller and explorer. In 2019, Ruchika pursued a degree in journalism from MLSU Udaipur while working with Byju’s and began her journey as a content creator. She also completed her Basic Mountaineering Course at NIM that year, followed by an Advanced Mountaineering Course at HMI, Darjeeling, in 2022.

Ruchika transitioned from her teaching career to focus on her passion for storytelling and videography. In 2022, she became a full-time videopreneur, founding Fireflydo, a platform where she shares engaging content about travel, food, and lifestyle. Her dedication and creativity have earned her collaborations with over 200 brands, establishing her as a trusted creator in the industry.
Her work, entirely fueled by an organic audience, has not only garnered her recognition but also led her to achieve a seven-figure income in just two years. Ruchika’s videos often blend her love for exploration with her unique storytelling style, earning features in leading publications like Dainik Bhaskar and Rajasthan Patrika.

Personal life
Family has always been a cornerstone of Ruchika’s life. Her mother Asha Jain has been her greatest inspiration, managing every challenge with grace and resilience. Her younger brother is currently pursuing his MBA at the prestigious IIFT, and her husband, Sandeep, is an investment banker at JP Morgan, New York City, USA.
