he was born into the esteemed Mewar royal family as the only son of Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar and Smt. Vijayraj Kumari Mewar. Mewar started his career from the ground up in the hospitality industry. He worked as a waiter at the Four Seasons Hotel in Australia and in various cafes, gaining valuable experience. When he returned to Udaipur, he joined the family business and led the refurbishment of Jagmandir Island Palace, making it a top wedding destination.

He also developed Palkikhana, a European-style café at Manek Chowk in the City Palace, Udaipur. Under his leadership, the HRH Group of Hotels improved food and beverage quality and service standards. Lakshyaraj’s dedication has earned him several executive positions within the HRH Group and many prestigious awards for his contributions to business and charity.

In 2024, he became the brand ambassador for The Indian Hotels Company Limited (Taj Hotels Group) to promote Indian tourism, art, culture, and heritage.

Personal life


Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar married Nivritti Singh Deo, the daughter of Odisha BJP president and former minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, on January 23, 2014, in Bhubaneswar. The wedding was attended by celebrities, royals, and politicians from India and abroad.

Lakshyaraj loves various forms of art, including painting, sufi music, flying RC planes, aero modelling, and playing the tabla. He also enjoys photography and gardening. Despite his busy schedule, he remains dedicated to promoting sports, especially cricket, and is actively involved in social causes to improve the quality of life for the local community.
